LET’S KEEP THIS SIMPLE.

You’ve probably heard people mention ChatGPT.

Maybe you’re curious. Maybe you’re skeptical.
Maybe you’re just tired of hearing about it and not knowing what it really does.

- - -

Here’s the simple truth:
ChatGPT is a tool anyone can use — right now — to make everyday life easier.

Think of it like a smarter search bar. You can ask it questions. Have it explain things. Help plan a trip. Find a recipe. Come up with ideas. Or just get a straight answer without digging through ads and junk.

Most people never figure out how to actually use it.

They try once or twice, get confused, and give up. Meanwhile, this is quickly becoming the new normal. More and more people are quietly using it to save time and handle everyday tasks faster.

If you don’t learn it now, you risk getting left behind. That’s just the reality.

That’s why I wrote this guide — to show you, in plain English, exactly how to start using ChatGPT for normal, everyday things. No hype. No tech jargon. No nonsense about “making money.” Just practical ways to make life a little simpler.

You don’t need to be good with computers. If you can type, you can use it. And by the time you finish this guide, you will.

If it doesn’t help you, I’ll give you your money back. You keep the guide either way.
Simple as that.

Ready to see how this can actually help you?
Let’s get started.

“There’s nothing wrong with not knowing something The problem is not asking.”

— Jeff Foxworthy

That’s what this guide helps you do — ask better questions, get better answers.

It’s easier to use than
you might think.

This guide shows you exactly how to use ChatGPT to get clear answers and make everyday life simpler — without wasting time digging through junk online.

No tricks. No tech talk. Just real ways to ask better questions — and get answers you can actually use. Fix something. Figure something out. Plan ahead. Save time.

You’ll learn how to use ChatGPT for everyday stuff:

Looking up how-to’s. Finding recipes. Getting straight answers on things you’ve always wondered about. Planning a trip. Getting ideas for a project. Even helping with the little daily questions that normally take forever to Google.

You’ll also learn how to spot bad answers — and how to ask smarter follow-ups so you actually get what you need.

And here’s the thing: once you see how it works, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner. This is quickly becoming the tool people are using to save time and handle everyday life better. The longer you wait to learn it, the more you’ll feel left out — that’s just how fast it’s moving.

That’s why I wrote this guide: so you can skip the confusion, skip the learning curve, and get started the right way — today.

Once you see how it works, you’ll treat ChatGPT like any other tool in the shop — grab it when you need it, get the job done, move on.

Want to see how it actually works?

Below is a real example — simple question, straight answer.

“I figured this AI stuff was too complicated.
Now I use it all the time — even helped me figure out dinner when my wife was out of town.”

Mike D. — retired contractor, 61

“OK, but what does this actually do? How does it work? Why would I even need it?”

It’s simple. You just talk to it — like you’d talk to a buddy, a neighbor, or someone who knows their stuff. And it gives you straight answers. No ads. No junk. No guessing which site to trust. And if you tell it more, it’ll keep working with you until you get what you need.

Want to see it in action? Here’s a real example:

---

“Carl’s an avid car guy. He’s been wrenching on his ’68 Mustang for years. Today he’s wondering about the right way to set timing on his 302 small block — so he asks ChatGPT…”

Carl: How do I set timing on a 302 small block?

ChatGPT: To set the timing on a 302 small block Ford, connect a timing light to the number one spark plug wire. Loosen the distributor hold-down bolt just enough so you can turn it. Start the engine and point the timing light at the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley. Rotate the distributor to adjust the timing to the desired advance, usually between six to ten degrees before top dead center for a stock setup. Tighten the distributor bolt and recheck the timing.

Would you like more details on things like initial versus total advance, or how vacuum advance affects timing?

Carl: Yeah, tell me about vacuum advance.

ChatGPT: Vacuum advance helps improve fuel economy and drivability when you’re cruising. It uses engine vacuum to advance the ignition timing when the engine is under light load. It doesn’t affect full-throttle timing, which is controlled by your initial timing and the mechanical advance in the distributor. Too much vacuum advance can cause pinging, while too little can make the engine feel flat.

If you tell me what distributor you’re running, I can give some tuning tips.

Carl: I’ve got an old MSD Pro-Billet distributor.

ChatGPT: That’s a good setup. The MSD Pro-Billet uses mechanical advance with vacuum advance on top. You can adjust the mechanical advance by changing the springs and bushings that came with the distributor. A lot of builders aim for around thirty-four to thirty-six degrees total advance by about three thousand RPM. Then they’ll add about ten to twelve degrees of vacuum advance at cruise.

If you’d like, I can show you how to choose spring combinations based on how you drive it, whether you’re doing street driving, highway cruising, or running it at the strip.

Carl: Yeah, that’d be good.

ChatGPT: For street driving with a mild cam, you’d usually start with medium springs so full advance comes in around twenty-eight hundred to three thousand RPM. For a strip setup or a car with an aggressive cam, lighter springs bring the advance in earlier, around twenty-five hundred. If it’s a heavier car or more for highway cruising, you’d add a little more vacuum advance for smoother throttle response.

I can also pull up the MSD tuning chart for your exact distributor if you give me the part number. Want me to?

Carl: Damn. Yeah, might as well.

That’s what ChatGPT does. You ask a simple question — it gives you straight answers, and if you want, it’ll help you dig deeper.

WHY I WROTE THIS GUIDE

You’ve probably noticed — most of what’s out there about ChatGPT is hype.

“Make money fast.”
“Automate your life.”
“Become an expert in five minutes.”

That stuff never sat right with me.

When I first started using ChatGPT, I wasn’t trying to start a business. I just wanted to see if it could help with normal, everyday things, stuff I used to waste time on. And then one day, I showed it to my elderly mother. She started asking me questions. Simple, honest questions and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

She wasn’t the only one curious about this. There were probably thousands of people just like her. Smart, capable folks who’d heard about ChatGPT but had no idea where to start or what to do.

That’s when I knew this guide needed to exist. Not another overhyped “prompt pack.” Not another video buried in tech jargon. But a clear, plain-English guide anyone could actually use.

So I wrote the guide I wish I’d had when I started and the guide I wish someone had handed my mom.

No hype. No nonsense. Just a simple, straight-talking way to help real people use this tool to make life a little easier.

If that sounds like something you’d want in your back pocket, I’d be honored if you grabbed a copy.
